A new urban skyline along the waterfront

The Ancon Seaside Masterplan reimagines the relationship between the city and the coast by integrating housing, recreation, and public spaces in a sustainable way. The design respects the natural topography, minimizing the project’s impact on the hillside while prioritizing pedestrian mobility. 

 

The project is structured on two levels: a promenade alongside the cliff and an upper boulevard. This design generates an experience of connection with the landscape. Additionally, it incorporates a yacht club and a marina that reinforce its maritime character.

This is an intervention that integrates housing, recreation, and equipment while maintaining the identity of the coastal landscape.

The project aims to reduce environmental impact by promoting non-motorized mobility and conserving the natural environment. 

Mobility

Spaces designed for pedestrians and cyclists prioritize interaction with and connection to the sea.

It includes a yacht club and marina, which solidifies the maritime focus of the area. 

Public spaces

Viewpoints, squares, and coastal trails offer places to relax and enjoy. 

Identity

The architecture is inspired by the nautical tradition and uses materials and shapes that blend in with the environment.

The central plaza and coastal paths serve as meeting places for the community and tourists. 

 

The intervention strengthens Ancon's maritime character by providing viewpoints and spaces for contemplating the landscape. 

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

The design prioritizes pedestrian and bicycle connectivity while reducing the presence of vehicles and promoting a safe environment.

 

The Upper Boulevard and Promenade ensure accessibility and a fluid transition between residential and commercial spaces. 

The Ancon Maritime Edge redefines the relationship between city and ocean by promoting functional, sustainable urban spaces. 

 

Its design strikes a balance between real estate development and landscape conservation, establishing it as a new urban landmark.
